PeakTrader:
China’s GDP is overstated. PPP doesn’t take into account quality differences. The (capitalist) U.S. collects more than three times more in taxes than (communist) China. Moreover, China exports much of its GDP (exports more than imports). Furthermore, China’s “growth-at-any-cost” policy ignores massive negative externalities, which make GDP growth expensive.

We can thank Wall Street for making the U.S. economy most energy efficient.
Wall Street, in the pursuit of profit maximization, directed and accelerated the offshoring of heavy U.S. industries and directed and accelerated capital into lighter U.S. industries.
