President Obama Blames You for High Gas Prices
April 7th, 2011

President Barack Obama deflected blame for high gas prices yesterday, by blaming American consumers for their automobile choices. According to the AP, at an event at a wind turbine plant, “Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices.”

Obama laughingly said: “If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know…you might want to think about a trade-in.”

My comment: Americans are already buying smaller autos and less gasoline.

If you watch the video of that incident, you'll see Obama also claims we could double oil production and it still wouldn't be enough to eliminate oil imports "by a factor of 5." Have we ever had a President so sure of himself yet so utterly clueless?

Paul, we elected a President who needed a lot of on-the-job training. It has been very expensive so far (in the trillions of dollars), and he still has a lot more to learn.

i'd go a step further and say that we elected a human interest story who is utterly unqualified to lead in terms of energy, understanding, intellect, and vision.

he's not a promising rookie to bring along, he's alex smith - incapable of ever playing at this level.
