Nov 25th Trading Log (Updates):
Current Trade: Bought 10 SPY Jun 400 puts at 22.9. Although, there may be a Santa Claus rally, a recession is likely next year. If SPY falls below 390 short-term, I'll sell the puts. If it rises above 406, I'll buy 10 more puts. I'm basically on break from trading and periodically watch the market a few minutes each day. Anyone who has followed me over the years knows I've been on a big winning streak for a year and had losing streaks. All the losing streaks were getting trapped with too many puts in a low volatility market. There will be better opportunities to make gains next year.
My portfolio is about $2,445,000 including $2,420,600 in cash.

SPY Jun 400 2023 10
Portfolio at $100,000 on March 1st, 2018. Portfolio stop loss suspended. Scaled up and adjusted portfolio. Both prior portfolios, since early 2000s, rose initially and substantially, and then failed quickly in “irrational” market “melt-ups," where stocks can go straight up month after month. |
